Tip #177

Keep an eye on the budget development process in your state. When time comes for the planning of the next fiscal year’s budget, band together with other school librarians in the state and have your students bombard the legislative and governmental offices with postcards asking the politicians to think of school libraries during the planning process. Have students mention particular books they would like to read but their library does not have.
